Greeks abroad are playing a significant role in today’s nationwide and historic protest, demanding justice for the unspeakable railway tragedy of Tempi—exactly two years after that fateful night when 57 people never reached their destination.
As a minimal tribute to the victims and in solidarity with the struggle of their families and the entire Greek community for justice, “Imprint”, the Voice of Greece radio show with Fuli Zavitsanou, opened its microphones to Greeks of the Diaspora who organized their own protest gatherings, calling for accountability wherever it lies.
We spoke with Nikos Graikos, a Greek language professor in Paris, Panagiotis Matlis, President of the Greek Community in Berlin, and Chrysa Oikonomidou from the Paidokipos group in Copenhagen.
