On Thursday, April 3, 2025, “Imprint” with Fuli Zavitsanou welcomed George Vlachos to the studio of Voice of Greece. Vlachos, a senior researcher at the Institute of Historical Research of the National Hellenic Research Foundation and president of the Hellenic Society for Environmental History (ElEPI), joined the show ahead of the upcoming event “Rivers, Law, and Anthropomorphism: An Unconventional Union,” organized by ElEPI on Thursday, April 10, at the Piraeus Bank Group Cultural Foundation Archive.
He spoke about the intricate relationship between humans and ecosystems—an area at the heart of environmental history studies—the mission and goals of the Hellenic Society for Environmental History, and, of course, the upcoming event, which intriguingly connects rivers, their legal rights, and mythology in an unexpected way.
