Folklorist and ethnologist Miranda Terzopoulou joins Marilena Katsimi on the radio program “Historical Walks”, airing Saturday, April 26, 2025, at 13:00 on Voice of Greece.

Bright Week—the most radiant week of the year in Greek tradition—follows Holy Week and runs from Easter Sunday to Thomas Sunday. Also known as the “New Week,” it marks a time of renewal and joyous celebration.

In this episode, Ms. Terzopoulou takes us on a journey through Greece to explore the customs, rituals, and local festivities of Bright Week—once celebrated as fervently as Easter itself, with music, dancing, and communal feasts.
