Feminism Today – Struggles, Demands, Challenges | 08 Mar. 2025, 13:00

On the occasion of International Women’s Day, Historical Walks” with Marilena Katsimi open a public discussion on the feminist movement in the modern era.

Guided by Nancy Papathanasiou, clinical psychologist and co-scientific director of Orlando LGBT+, we will explore gender inequalities and the challenges feminism faces today.

  • How has the movement evolved from the fight for women’s human rights to contemporary demands?
  • What does intersectional feminism mean?
  • How is feminism connected to woke culture, and why is it targeted by conservative political forces?
  • Why do neo-conservative leaders, such as Trump, seek to dismantle gender ideology?
  • Is it a victory or a contradiction for feminism that women—including openly lesbian politicians—are now leading far-right parties with significant societal influence?

An insightful conversation that delves into the complexities of feminism today.

Produced and presented by Marilena Katsimi
Broadcast: Saturday, March 8, 2025, 13:00-14:00 Athens time
