Kiki Tsakaldimi, the woman who climbed Mount Everest in 2017, traveled to Argentina to conquer the summit of Mount Aconcagua and spoke with Dr. Christina Tsardikou, presenter of the program “Greeks Around the World – Greece in Argentina.” The particularly engaging interview will be broadcast on Sunday, 15 February 2026, at 10:00 (Athens time), with a repeat airing the same day at 23:00 (Greece time).
Kiki Tsakaldimi was born in Alexandroupoli, where she still lives today, and since 2021 she has been co-founder and Ambassador of Higher Than Everest, a company whose initiatives around the globe aim to transform lives. With the motto “everything is possible, as long as we believe it,” she achieved the First All-Female Greek Expedition to Mount Everest in 2017—despite having no prior mountaineering experience. Since then, she has climbed the highest peaks on four continents, most recently Mount Aconcagua (6,962 m) in Argentina, among others.
When she is not on a mountain expedition or involved in one of her company’s programs, she delivers motivational talks at schools, conferences, and forums; coordinates TEDxAlexandroupolis—her personal achievement and a pioneering initiative in the Greek provinces back in 2016—and writes for her personal blog. As an ambassador of physical and mental empowerment through exercise and proper nutrition, she inspires people to live consciously, with wellness and harmony, aligning professional success within a truly holistic lifestyle framework. Through her actions, she also supports organizations such as “To Chamogelo tou Paidiou” (The Smile of the Child) and FairLife Lung Cancer Care.
Her next mountaineering goal is to complete the Seven Summits challenge, with upcoming climbs in Antarctica, Alaska, and Oceania.
