On Sunday, 29 March, at 10:00 (Athens time), as part of the series “Greeks Around the World – Greece in Argentina,” hosted by Dr. Christina Tsardikou, President of the cultural organization “Nostos” in Argentina, the guest will be Mariano Manikis.
Mariano Manikis is a photographer, visual artist, architect and cultural manager. He has developed an extensive artistic career, with solo exhibitions in Argentina and abroad, including Barcelona, Brazil, Cuba and Switzerland. His work spans photography, painting, installations and urban interventions, often connected to tango, the city of Buenos Aires and the sacred element.
As a cultural manager, he has founded and directed art galleries and organized major exhibitions and urban art projects, collaborating with established artists.
He has coordinated initiatives with strong social content, addressing themes such as migration and refugees. He has received numerous awards, including the First Prize at the National Salon of Visual Arts, as well as distinctions from the Argentine Federation of Photography. He is also an active member of artistic groups and serves as Vice President of the Peloponnesian Association of Argentina.
