Giorgos Alisanoglou is the “Poet of the Week” | 23–29 March 2026

Seven poems each week, one Greek poem every day, travel through the frequencies of Voice of Greece to every corner of the world where Greek voices are heard.

The week from 23 to 29 March 2026 is dedicated to the poet Giorgos Alisanoglou.

Giorgos Alisanoglou is a poet, translator, and publisher. He studied sociology and political science. In November 2005, he founded the Saixpirikon Editions–Bookstore in Thessaloniki. His poetry has been translated into many languages, included in anthologies, and presented at poetry festivals and book fairs in Greece and abroad. His most recent books include “Kipseles” (Kichli, 2021) and “Poems of a Gothic Evening” (Saixpirikon, 2024).
