Award-winning Greek Australian singer Penny Pavlakis, often described as the “Singer of the Singers,” joined “Faraway Words” from Australia.
The conversation centered on her recent tribute concert at Sydney’s historic State Theatre, widely regarded as the largest and most ambitious homage ever staged to the legendary Greek singer Marinella. Accompanied by a full symphony orchestra and a laiko ensemble featuring eight bouzoukis, Pavlakis performed some of Marinella’s most iconic songs before a packed audience.
