Carnival with Dr. Christos Theologos on “Saturday Shift” | 01 Mar. 2025, 08:00

Dr. Christos Theologos will be the guest of Antonis Karagiannakis on “Fair Winds and Following Seas – Saturday Shift” and Voice of Greece on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at 08:00 (Athens time) to talk about Carnival!

Dr. Christos Theologos, who is also the director of the Music School of Rhodes, will guide us through and explain many of the Carnival customs in maritime regions, islands, and other parts of Greece. From Psychosavato, Agas, Kadis, Kapetanios, and Gaitanaki to Koudounatoi, Talimi, and Kites, we will explore the significance and symbolism of these traditions.

A celebration full of joy across Greece! A Carnival extravaganza with customs, traditions, and folklore taking center stage during these festive days. A unique radio journey on Voice of Greece that no one should miss!
