Easter Monday with the “Chronis Aidonidis” Orchestra | 21 Apr. 2025, 10:00

Voice of Greece, in collaboration with the program “Take Your Time,” hosted by Prokopis Agelopoulos, presents a special Easter Monday broadcast on April 21, 2025, at 10 AM Athens time, from the ERT Music Ensembles studio. This two-hour journey through Greece promises to be rich in tradition and culture.

The program will feature some of Greece’s finest musicians and performers of traditional music, including the “Chronis Aidonidis” Orchestra. Formed six months after the passing of the legendary representative of Thracian musical tradition, the orchestra honors his memory through a unique performance of traditional melodies and songs, not only from Thrace but also from across the country.

Joining the orchestra at the ERT Music Ensembles studio are Vangelis Dimoudis (oud and vocals), performers Lefkothea Filipidi and Manos Koutsangelidis, Nikos Filipidis (clarinet and flute), Kostas Filipidis (laouto), Giorgos Marinakis (violin), Panos Dimitrakopoulos (kanoni), Kostas Meretakis (percussion), Stratis Psaradelis (politiki lyra and politiko laouto), and Giorgos Berzigiannidis (gaida).
