On Friday, March 21, 2025, shortly after 11 AM Athens ime, the guest on the show “Take Your Time” will be Alexandra Theodoropoulou, Greece’s Consul General in Adelaide, Australia.
Ms. Theodoropoulou has served at Greece’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations (Geneva, 2002-2003) and the European Union (Brussels, 2003-2007). She was Greece’s Consul in Houston (Texas, USA, 2007-2011) and chargé d’affaires at the Greek Embassy in South Africa (Pretoria, 2016-2019).
She has been involved in all aspects of diplomacy (bilateral and multilateral relations, economic and cultural affairs, the Greek diaspora) and has also served as a Diplomatic Advisor at the Ministry of Culture. Since August 2024, she has been Greece’s Consul General in Adelaide, responsible for South Australia and the Northern Territory.
Alexandra Theodoropoulou has also been involved in teaching (lecturing in Law at the French-speaking Center for Higher Studies in Athens) and journalism (To Vima newspaper). She is the author of “Survival and Sacredness: The First Humanity, the Greek Cosmological System, and the Mysteries of Eleusis.” She has published articles on contemporary and ancient philosophy as well as various aspects of Greek culture. Additionally, she has released two poetry collections under the name Alexandra Kandanos: A Thousand and One Nights (Gavriilidis, 2014) and The Winged Bridles of Love (Gavriilidis, 2017).
