On Monday, July 29, from 19:00 to 20:00 Athens time (with a repeat on Tuesday, July 30, from 16:00 to 17:00 AM), the show “Our Town” will feature Christoforos Krokidis.
The renowned guitarist, with his enviable artistic career, will talk about the early rock bands of the 1970s he was part of, which contributed to the creation of the rock scene in Greece. He will share stories from 1989 to 2002, when he closely collaborated with Vasilis Papakonstantinou and composed many of his famous hits (“Chronia Polla,” “Ta Chalia Mou,” “Odos Ellinon,” “Parapona sti Lina,” “Kapardina,” “Hamenes Agapes,” and more).
Krokidis will discuss his collaborations with top names in Greek music, both in recordings and live performances. The charismatic guitarist will also talk about his solo discography, which received significant recognition, and his personal rock band, Mini Boys, as well as the music he loved and played, including Pink Floyd, Jeff Beck, Led Zeppelin, and Deep Purple.
The program will feature songs from concerts and his solo discography (“O Fylakas ton Skoupidion,” “Me Ta Matia Kleista,” “Oliki Lobotomi”), as well as other beloved hits. The gifted artist, nicknamed “Diavolos” (Devil), will also share his musical experiences in America, at the legendary Woodstock, and during the era of Greece’s Kyttaro music club, with bands like Socrates, Exadaktylos, and others from that time.
