Konstantinos Bouras is “Poet of the Week” | 03 Mar. – 09 Mar. 2025

Seven poems every week—one Greek poem each day—traveling across the airwaves of Voice of Greece to every corner of the world where Greek voices are heard.

From March 3 to March 9, 2025, the week is dedicated to Konstantinos Bouras.

Dr. Konstantinos Bouras was born in 1962 in Kalamata and has lived in Athens since 1977. A writer of 47 published books, he is also a theater and literary critic. He earned his PhD with honors from the Department of Translation and Interpreting at the Ionian University (2019). He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens (1985), graduated with honors from the Department of Theater Studies at the University of Athens (1994), and obtained a postgraduate degree in Theater Studies from Paris III – La Nouvelle Sorbonne (D.E.A. Etudes Théâtrales). He has conducted postdoctoral research at the University of Athens and the University of the Aegean. In 2020 and 2021, he taught theater criticism at the University of Athens. He also teaches cultural management and human resources management at the School of Public Administration. He conceived, coordinated, and established the Creative Thinking Workshop, which has been running continuously since 2022. His articles appear in newspapers and numerous literary magazines. His plays, inspired by ancient Greek themes and the economic crisis, have been staged in theaters across Greece.
