The week from 24/02/2025 to 02/03/2025 is dedicated to poet Rania Katavouta.
Rania Katavouta was born and raised in Elati, Trikala. She studied Modern Greek Philology in Patras and received her PhD from the Department of Philology at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2022. Since 2014, she has been teaching Modern Greek language and literature at the Department of the Greek Language at Shanghai International Studies University in China In 2017, she won the “Silver Magnolia” award from the Municipality of Shanghai for her teaching and cultural activities, contributing to the development of the city of Shanghai and the further strengthening of Greece-China relations In 2019, she published her first poetry collection titled Ballerina in the Night by Panoptikon Editions. She has published articles and poems in magazines and websites, and in 2022, she participated in the Seventh International Poetry Festival of Shanghai.
