Radio astronomer Tasso Tzioumis is this week’s Remarkable Personality | 29 June 2024, 16:00

Tasso Tzioumis, internationally renowned radio astronomer, is this week’s guest on Mina Ralli’s show “Remarkable Personalities” on Voice of Greece. Dr. Tzioumis is a researcher at the CSIRO’s department of Australia Telescope National Facility and the Australian Government representative at the International Telecommunication Union in Geneva.

Mr. Tzioumis explains to us how radio astronomers discovered WIFI but also how they confirmed Einstein’s theories and tells us about the International Radio Astronomy Conference, which he organizes every five years in his hometown, Kerastari Arcadia.

He also reveals when the world’s largest radio telescope will be constructed!
