Rear Admiral H.C.G., President of the Hellenic Association of Traditional Boats, Nikos Kavallieros, is the guest on “Fair Winds and Following Seas – Saturday Shift” by Antonis Karagiannakis, on Saturday, March 2nd, 2024, at 08:00 am in the morning Athens time (and in replay at 8pm).

He tells us about traditional boats today, how thousands of them came to be destroyed and what efforts are being made for what remains. He also shares thoughts and programs through which traditional boats could be exploited and benefit residents of various areas and local communities.

He talks about marine tourism in our country, his beloved Naxos that he visits frequently, his career in the sea and his various activities around it, as he has many important positions and qualities and has served the sea for many years.

Finally, he refers to the importance of the revival of the historic sailing ship of the Eugenides Foundation, which is a jewel for our shipping industry.
