Stratis Panourios visits “Our Town” | 28 Sept. 2024, 12:00

On Saturday, September 28, from 12:00 to 13:00 Athens time, the show “Our Town” will host Stratis Panourios.

The author, actor, and director will talk about his fascinating studies in theater, as well as the many performances he has directed both in Greece and abroad in collaboration with national theaters and organizations. He will also discuss his new novel “Sigri: The Land of the Gods,” from which he will read an excerpt. The book refers to a strange place, the island of Lesvos as envisioned by Albert Camus.

Additionally, he will talk about the performances he directed at the Korydallos prison in collaboration with the reintegration organization “Epano̱dos,” for which he received an award from the Hellenic Association of Theatre Critics.

The show will also feature Maria Panagiotakopoulou, author and publisher (Idifono), and Ioannis Oikonomidis, author and PhD in Biology from Brussels.

There will be discussions on topics related to philosophy, technology, and the environment, and a text by Camus will be read.
