“Odyssey – The Adventure” (Part II) | 21 Feb. 2026, 17:00

The program “Narratives” – “Stories and Fairy Tales for Children and Grown-Ups” presents, on Saturday 21 February 2026 from 17:00 to 18:00 (Ατηενσ time), on Voice of Greece, the second and final part of the narration of the book “Odyssey – The Adventure” by the award-winning translator and author Maria Angelidou.

Kalenitis Publications introduces, through this elegant and user-friendly small-format edition, the most beautiful adventure of all time, the Odyssey, inaugurating for young and adult readers alike a new book series titled Little Epics, signed by Maria Angelidou. Each volume in the series presents an epic “in miniature,” beginning with the Odyssey, to be followed by the Iliad and the Aeneid.

The pages of the book host the Homeric rhapsodies, retold in the rich, inventive, fairy-tale-like language of the gifted storyteller and award-winning writer Maria Angelidou, while Emilia Kontaïou creates an eloquent black-and-white world that allows the words to give it color and breath.

The adventure, the “ingenious tale,” is woven anew so that it may endure forever, rekindling the bond with our own Odysseus, who belongs to the whole world—the hero who, through his adventures, wrote history and gave birth to all the stories of humankind.

May this Odyssey, this ingenious tale, shine here too with all the colors of a happy homecoming. And may you give it, with your own colors, the strength to continue living forever.” [from the author’s introductory note.
