“The Rebellion of the Old Toys” | 24 May 2025, 17:00

This Saturday, May 24, 2025, from 17:00 to 18:00 Athens time, the program “Narratives – Stories and Fairy Tales for All Ages” presents the narration of the book “The Rebellion of the Old Toys” published by Kalentis editions. The book is authored by the multi-award-winning writer Christos Boulotis and beautifully illustrated by the acclaimed artist Fotini Stefanidi, who is a nominee for the prestigious 2026 Hans Christian Andersen Award. Stefanidi brings to life, with exceptional care and artistry, the old toys from the author’s personal collection, making this edition particularly special.

The story’s timeless and relevant themes include teamwork, solidarity, the pursuit of dreams, freedom, and above all, imagination as a form of creative thinking and action. The author’s personal collection of vintage toys is slated to be housed in a forthcoming museum in Myrina, Lemnos.

Produced and presented by Maria Karagiannaki Iona

Broadcast: Saturday, May 24, 2025, 17:00–18:00 (Athens time)
