On this episode of “Greece in Argentina”, Dr. Christina Tsardikou presents a double tribute. The guests for the day are Ms. Monica Gutzos and Ms. Guillermina Hasan Gutzos, members of the Board of Directors of the Greek Community of Berisso, the oldest Greek community not only in Argentina but in all of South America. The two guests recount the history of the community and discussed their current goals and activities. Additionally, they shed light on the case of the Greeks in Argentina who perished during the dictatorship (24 Greeks remain missing even today). They specifically focus on Monica Goutsos’ father and Yiliermina Hasan Goutsos’ uncle, Petros Gutzos, who was killed during that period and became a symbol of the revolution against the regime.
