The week that starts today is dedicated to the beautiful island of Syros and to the artists connected with it. Markos Vamvakaris, who was born in Syros, is considered the patriarch of rebetiko and a major influence on so many modern composers.

Η εβδομάδα που ξεκινάει είναι αφιερωμένη στο όμορφο νησί της Σύρου και στους καλλιτέχνες που κατάγονται απ’ αυτό. Ο πατριάρχης του ρεμπέτικου, ο γεννημένος στην Άνω Σύρο Μάρκος Βαμβακάρης συνέδεσε για πάντα το όνομά του με το νησί.
