In this episode of the show called “Greece in Denmark”, on the “Voice of Greece”, hosted by the archaeologist and president of the Greek Society of Denmark Elina Stamatatou, the translator of Scandinavian literature Sotiris Souliotis is the guest on Sunday, August 7th, at 10:00 (Greece local time).
Sotiris Souliotis was born in Thessaloniki in 1971 and grew up on the island of Euboea. He studied Greek Literature and Linguistics in Thessaloniki.
In 1992, through the Erasmus program, he received a one-year scholarship from the University of Copenhagen, in the Department of Modern Greek Literature, where he attended courses on the Danish language as well as Greek to Danish and Danish to Greek translation.
In 2001 he settled down in Denmark. He translates Scandinavian literature and promotes Greek literature and poetry through events he organizes in Denmark and he is a member of the Danish Authors’ Society as well as the Elite Corps of Translators and Interpreters of Greece.
