Journalist and author Stelios Vradelis discusses his new book, “The Wrong Person, in the Wrong Place, at the Wrong Time.” Speaking about it, he notes:
“Throughout history, countless individuals—some unintentionally, others by choice—have shaped the fate of millions through their decisions. Human stupidity, besides being unbeatable, has also proven fatally destructive in hundreds of cases.”

The book explores a collection of disasters from around the world, where poor choices and miscalculations altered the course of millions of lives—shipwrecks, plane crashes, train accidents, urban fires, forest blazes, stadium collapses, industrial explosions, battlefields, and tragedies in theaters and cinemas.

The discussion delves into maritime disasters, from the Heraklion sinking off Falconera and the Express Samina tragedy near Paros to the infamous Exxon Valdez oil spill in Alaska and the Titanic‘s fateful voyage in the icy Atlantic.
