The President of the Hellenic Association of Lifeguard Schools – ESNE, Marios Myronakis in Fair Winds and Following Seas
Mr. Myronakis talks to us and explains all things related to the work of a lifeguard: “Greece has about 14,000 km of coastline, the longest in all of Europe. When you are exposed to the sea, you have to be careful.
On the organized Greek beaches today, from June 1 to September 30, there are 1,260 lifeguards and 840 coordinators-supervisors, while technology is now a part of the field of lifesaving with drones and other means. But there are difficulties and shortcomings.”
