On Saturday, September 28, the show “Our Town” hosted Stratis Panourios.
The author, actor, and director talked about his fascinating studies in theater, as well as the many performances he has directed both in Greece and abroad in collaboration with national theaters and organizations. He also discussed his new novel “Sigri: The Land of the Gods,” from which he read an excerpt. The book refers to a strange place, the island of Lesvos as envisioned by Albert Camus.
Additionally, he talked about the performances he directed at the Korydallos prison in collaboration with the reintegration organization “Epano̱dos,” for which he received an award from the Hellenic Association of Theatre Critics.
The show also featured Maria Panagiotakopoulou, author and publisher (Idifono), and Ioannis Oikonomidis, author and PhD in Biology from Brussels.
There were discussions on topics related to philosophy, technology, and the environment, and a text by Camus was read.
