Tribute: Sacco and Vanzetti on ”Time in Greece” | 25.10.2023

Nikos Angelidis and the show ”Time in Greece” take us on a journey through history… We are transported back to the 1920s, about a century ago in Massachusetts, USA. This was a case that shocked the world. The framing of two shoemaker workers and the accusation that they participated in a robbery and murder outside the factory where they worked. Nicola Sacco and Bartolomeo Vanzetti in a rigged trial, with no real indictment and the Judges and Jury having decided before the Trial, are both sentenced to death. The reason is obvious… Their ideological identity and their participation in working class mobilizations. They are led to the electric chair on August 23, 1927. They thus both become immortal, earning their place in history…
