Vlasis Agtzidis is this week’s “Remarkable Personality” | 26 Oct. 2024

Dr. Vlasis Agtzidis, a modern history scholar from the Department of History and Archaeology at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and an author, discusses the “epic of ’40.” He describes the conditions under which Ioannis Metaxas said the historic “NO” to the Italians and analyzes the factors that led to the great victory of the Greeks in the Greco-Italian War.

The esteemed historian explains why we are once again living through a historic crossroads, and in light of his latest book titled “Between Sevres and Lausanne: Aspects of the Asia Minor Tragedy,” he talks about the causes of the Asia Minor catastrophe and the National Division.
