Fenia Papadodima on “Voices and Music” | 10 Feb. 2026

Fenia Papadodima visited the studio of Voice of Greece and opened up her inner world to us — a world where Byzantine modes meet spiritual jazz, where Homer converses with Papadiamantis, and where the voice becomes a bridge between myth and contemporary reality.

We spoke about her studies in Paris, about the Conservatoire, her journey in musical theatre, and the improvisation born in the very moment of breath. We focused especially on her new album “Astron Pesmenon” (“Fallen Star”) — a work written on the island of Amorgos, in a state of inner serenity, carrying within it nostalgia, light, and spirituality. She reflected on the power of silence, her relationship with God as a creative compass, the importance of place in the act of writing, and the deep need to remain “pure” in a fragmented world.

We heard her speak with gratitude about her collaborators, about the B.Y.S Trio, and about the sound that emerges when musicians communicate without ego. Above all, we heard her speak about art as a shared experience — not as display. Her voice — deep, introspective, true — reminded us that song can still be prayer, storytelling, consolation.

An episode that left behind light. And a “fallen star” that did not fade — but shone within us.
