The story itself is truly moving… Many Greeks loved and fought for Argentina. The program “Time In Greece” and Nikolas Angelidis reveal details about the actions of Greeks in Argentina, where they are considered heroes and are praised in Argentinian history books. The Greek presence in Argentina extends all the way to the presidency. Yes, the first president of Argentina had Greek roots. No one disputes that.

In our research we encounter two great figures, fighters for Argentina’s independence: Nikolaos Kolmaniatis from Hydra and Michail Spyrou from Lesvos.
