Fifty-one years have passed since the withdrawal of the last American soldier from Vietnam. It was 30 April 1975.
The program “Time in Greece” with Nikolas Angelidis takes listeners on a journey through the history of a heroic war against colonial powers and would-be new conquerors.
The story begins with the resistance of the Viet Minh, aiming to liberate South Vietnam, and continues with the Viet Cong and the legendary leader of the resistance, Ho Chi Minh.
Amid the battles, we also encounter a Greek: Kostas Sarantidis, a fighter with the Viet Minh, who was later proclaimed a national hero of the country for his actions.
