On “Voices and Music”, we welcomed Kostas Anastasiadis — drummer, composer, orchestrator, and researcher of rhythm, with an international presence and distinctions. The discussion revolved around rhythm not only as a musical element, but as a way of thinking and a state of awareness.
We spoke about the “one” and the upbeat, about the importance of silence, about the difference between practice and performance, as well as about his method, “The Harmony of Rhythm,” which approaches rhythm as a living field of relationships and presence.
Special reference was also made to his writing work and to the challenges of capturing deeply experiential knowledge in book form. It was a meaningful conversation that highlighted rhythm as a shared pulse connecting cultures and people.
