The program welcomed Greek-Australian educator Dimitris Kametopoulos from Sydney, Australia. The discussion was prompted by his recent honor, the “Award of Excellence” bestowed upon him by the World Cultural and Charitable Organization “Writers Capital International Foundation”, in recognition of his contribution to multicultural Australia.
Mr. Kametopoulos spoke about the Greek community, its history, its present, and the challenges it faces today, as well as his professional journey as an educator in special schools with refugees and children from vulnerable social groups, as well as in the afternoon schools of the Greek diaspora.
