The program hosted Mr. Nikos Kastrinakis, President of the World Council of Cretans, Vice-President of the Pancretan Association of America, and President of the “Eleftherios Venizelos” Foundation branch in New York.
Mr. Kastrinakis has been active in the Greek diaspora since his student years in New York. He spoke about his first steps in America, his path within diaspora organizations, and the initiatives of the associations he participates in. Special reference was made to the contribution of the Pancretan Association of America to healthcare in Crete—particularly the recent inauguration of the epilepsy unit at the University General Hospital of Heraklion, a donation of the Association and the Region of Crete.
