Life in Buenos Aires today isn’t that far from what life used to be in Greece back in the ’60s and 70’s, with concierges and grocery stores, but also with an excruciating rise of the cost of life, with most Argentinians struggling to make ends meet. Peso is steadily plunging, while inflation rate is to al all-time high. Kostas Papadimopoulos has a lot to say on the subject, as a guest on Petros Diplas’ and Dimitris Kontogiannis’ show.
Papadimopoulos, who has been based in Argentina for the past couple years, also spoke about security issues, namely pitty theft, the vast economic inequalities of the country and the slums, which you can spot all over the place, right next to cozy bistros, extravagant bars and open-air tango improvisation dancing sessions.
