On Thursday, January 18th, 2024, after reading the headlines of the press and commenting on current affairs, we talked with journalist, columnist for International Affairs of Avgi newspaper, Eleni Tserezole, about the issues that have arisen in the Middle East, starting with Israel’s invasion of Gaza in retaliation for the Hamas strike and after the latest developments with the Houthis in Yemen and the conflict between Pakistan and Iran.
Immediately afterwards, we hosted by phone the mayor of Gavdos, Manolia Stefnaki, one of only 22 women mayors elected in the recent local elections, as part of the relevant tribute of the show.
In the second hour, Mr. Thomas Goudoulas, President of the Association of Parents and Guardians of Munich and Suburbs, informed us about the latest developments in the struggle given by the representatives of the community to avoid a serious housing problem for the 1st Greek Primary School of Munich “Aristotle” and the 4th High School of Munich, from 2025 onwards, given that the deadline for unilateral renewal of the lease by the Greek State has expired; at the same time, the plot which has been granted to build and complete in 2029 a new school building, is currently occupied.
At the end of the 3rd part of the show, director of the Archipelagos Institute, Theodoros Tsimpidis, from Samos, informed us about the great success of the winter gardens created by the organization’s executives with traditional Greek seeds for their own feeding, a success that could be a “pilot” for similar efforts by organizations and individual citizens.
