Veteran captain Kostas G. talks to “FAIR WINDS AND FOLLOWING SEAS” and VOICE OF GREECE. He embarked because his father had some connection with the sea and also because his mind, when he went down to the port of Heraklion and saw the ships, travelled far away to another land, to other places. So he first sailed with the liberty “VORI” from Syros to America and thus began his naval career which he loved and served faithfully from the barges, offices and as a trainer. Among other things, Captain Kostas says that “ships are not a prison. It’s a choice”
