Take Your Time with Prokopis Agelopoulos | 26 Apr. 2024

On Friday, April 26th, 2024, episode, after reading the newspapers, we talked with Giannis Skalkos, journalist and candidate for the European Parliament with the Greek Solution, about the current affairs of the days and, mainly, the controversial issue of whether or not political parties in Parliament claim the votes that went to the national elections to the Spartans. Shortly before 11 am, tax consultant Panagiotis Pantelis informed listeners (and expatriates among them) about the issues that have arisen with tax returns, which, according to the Ministry of Finance, will largely be pre-filled. Mr Pantelis pointed out that, because there have been problems, taxpayers should check before pressing the submit button.

In the second hour, we connected by phone to the Kallimarmaro stadium to be informed by ERT reporter Mary Skandali about the Torch Relay of the Olympic Flame in Attica and the afternoon events of the delivery of the flame for the Olympic Games in Paris. Immediately afterward, we spoke with the Professor of Linguistics at the University of Ioannina and the Director of the International Summer University for Greek Language, Culture and Media that will take place in Boston at the end of May, Ms. Nicoletta Tsitsanoudi Mallidis, on the occasion of its presentation event, which took place at the Kanellopoulos Museum, in Plaka.

Immediately afterward, Despina Amarantidou, ERT’s correspondent in Kozani, spoke to us by phone about a custom that takes place in villages in the area on Lazarus Saturday, the famous Lazarines.

The show wrapped up with international news with Ivana Djordjevic and sports news with Antigone Drakatou.

Take Your Time with Prokopis Agelopoulos is an all-inclusive show featuring current affairs and interviews with politicians, scientists, journalists, representatives of non-governmental organizations, artists, and Greeks living abroad.
