On the show of Tuesday, July 23, 2024, after the newspaper headlines, we “interrogated” another candidate for the position of president at PASOK, Ms. Milena Apostolaki. The discussion focused on the goals that this process should have, the way of reaching an agreement for potential cooperation within the broader progressive space, and the policies that will lead to the necessary changes.
Just before 11:00, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the restoration of Democracy, we spoke with Mr. Vangelis Karamanolakis, Professor of Modern and Contemporary History at the University of Athens, about everything that has happened from 1974 to today. We discussed the return of Democracy, the achievements made, and the opportunities missed that have led us to the current situation.
In the second hour, we addressed the issue of water scarcity in many areas of Greece, particularly in Thessaly, with Emeritus Professor Theofanis Gemtos from the Department of Agriculture, Crop Production, and Rural Environment at the University of Thessaly.
We then connected with Eleanna Pitsikaki, a young musician of Greek descent from Germany, originally from Crete. She, along with her two fellow musicians, is preparing for three concerts with the Balkan Fuego Trio in Crete, her homeland, at the end of July.
