Danae Bezantakou, CEO of Navigator Shipping Consultants and creator of the YES FORUM, a long-standing presence in the shipping industry, spoke on “Fair Winds and Following Seas” and Voice of Greece.
She explained what the YES Forum is and its target audience. This year, the YES Forum was honored with the “Piraeus International Centre Award” by Lloyd’s Greek Shipping Awards. “This award recognizes our ongoing efforts to bridge the gap between the younger generation and the shipping market by providing opportunities for education, internships, mentoring, and inspiration,” Danae Bezantakou stated, emphasizing the importance of attracting more young people to the shipping industry, which is not solely about ships.
Finally, she briefly introduced her newly published book, “Towards the Sea” (Dioptra Publications), and promised to visit ERT’s studio for an in-depth discussion on “Saturday Shift”, the two-hour weekend special edition of the show.
