The veteran radio operator Vangelis Makropoulos from the naval town of Syros reads two stories from the lives of sailors, about life and customs aboard ships, some years ago.
The first story is titled “Hunger on Ships” by Captain Michalis Karpathakis, and the second story is titled “The Cartini* that became Baklava” by Captain Giorgos Abouselam.
*Cartini: Quarter, one-fourth of the area of a circle.
