On Tuesday, 02 June 2026, Voice of Greece visited the picturesque village of Milies in Pelion, renowned for its distinctive Pelion architecture, its historic railway station—the terminus of the famous little train returning from Volos—its breathtaking natural surroundings, and its rich history, closely linked to the renowned school founded by Anthimos Gazis and Grigorios Konstantas.
Guiding listeners through the village were Dimitris Papadimitriou, President of the Milies Community; Nikolaos Sgardonis, former President of the Community of Milies; Lefki Efstathiou, Vice President of the Milies Cultural and Beautification Association; and Apostolia Kotinopoulou, a mountain activities coordinator who introduces visitors to the area’s natural beauty through guided horseback excursions.
