Achilleas Katsaros is the “Poet of the Week” on Voice of Greece

Each week, seven poems—one for each day—are shared globally through the frequencies of Voice of Greece, reaching Greek-speaking communities around the world.

Achilleas Katsaros is featured as the “Poet of the Week” from September 30 to October 6, 2024.

Achilleas Katsaros studied classical philology at the University of Athens (Department of Classical Philology, 1994) and has published six poetry collections. His works include:
Wind Trackers (Self-published, Athens, 2013), The Surgery of Inner Heavens (Ars Poetica, Veroia, 2014) – translated into English by Giannis Goumas in 2015 and posthumously edited by Elias Sellountos in 2023-, East Rock Road (Thraka, Larisa, 2015) – One poem was selected for a German anthology by Romiosini Publications in 2018.-, Cabaret Voltaire (Self-published, Ioannina, 2016) – Entirely set to music by composer Kostas Reklitis and adapted for the stage as a musical-theater production in 2016.-, Side Back: Letters to a Young Footballer (Odos Panos, Athens, 2018) – Two poems from this collection were also set to music by Reklitis, and one was included in his discography on a U.S. based music platform- and Roll in the Jar. (Thraka, Larisa, 2022). His poetry has been included in various anthologies and translated into multiple languages, including English, French, German, Italian, and Spanish. Katsaros also contributes to literary journals in both print and digital formats.
