Asteris Kutulas visits “Our Town” | 15.10.2023, 12.00

On Sunday the 15th of October at 12-00-14-00, the show “Our Town” will host Asteris Kutulas.

The international artist creates a universal “portrait” of Mikis Theodorakis, whom he followed in all his activities for more than 30 years, providing rich evidence of the composer’s pioneering works.

The program will include interesting information and documents on the global impact of the music of the leading composer who influenced young artists from the fields of opera, jazz, rap, hip-hop, pop and popular groups (Pink Floyd, Beatles, Scorpions, etc.) as well as many international singers.

Asteris Kutulas, spans 600 hours of close contact with Mikis in 30 years in cities all over the world, 40 productions, presenting the melodic side of Mikis, utilizing new technologies, and giving another dimension to his work.

He cites his many translations of Greek poets into German, makes reference to the famous Berlin festival (Greek section) that he himself inaugurated, to his extravagant productions (Millénium Berlin) in major theaters, arenas and cities around the world.

Selected music with references to their joint collaboration are also aired. Anna Rezan will also feature on the show.
