On Sunday, October 27, 2024, at 10:00 Athens time, the show “Greeks Around the World – Greece in the United Kingdom” with Eliana Nunes will host Lampros Bisdounis, a young researcher specializing in clinical neuroscience.
Lampros Bisdounis is a graduate of the Universities of Glasgow, Amsterdam, and Oxford, where he completed his doctorate focusing on bipolar disorder and continues to teach. Additionally, he works at the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and the charitable organization Wellcome Trust. The Wellcome Trust funded research for a new treatment for schizophrenia known as Cobenfy, which was approved by the FDA a month ago. This treatment has been described as a revolutionary breakthrough for individuals living with schizophrenia.
In the program, Lampros Bisdounis will share his research projects, discuss misconceptions about mental disorders, and much more.
