On Friday, December 8th, shortly after 11:00 o’clock Greece local time, the show “Take Your Time” dedicates time to the discussion on environmental crimes and the concept of Ecocide, with guest Mr. Iosif Botetzagias, Professor, Department of Environment, University of the Aegean.
We ask him to explain to us how we can distinguish serious environmental violations and by what criterion we dub them “environmental crimes” or not, how the relevant legislation changes at European Union level and what is meant by the term “Ecocide” which scientists and activists with heightened awareness regarding environmental protection and climate change issues are trying to establish in the context of this Legislation.
