Marigo Alexopoulou is the “Poet of the Week” on VoG | From 21- 27 Oct. 2024

Seven poems each week, one Greek poem every day, travels through the frequencies of the VOICE OF GREECE to the farthest corners of the earth where there are Greek voices.

The week from October 21, 2024, to October 27, 2024, is dedicated to the poet Marigo Alexopoulou.

Marigo Alexopoulou (1976) has published seven poetry collections: Faster than Light, Which Day is Missing, The Envy Meter, The Stars Line Up, Pre-Pharmacy Era, The Blue Book, and Day and Night. She has also published a monograph titled: The Theme of Return to the Homeland in Ancient Greek Literature: The Nostoi of Epic Heroes from the English publishing house Edwin Mellen Press (www.mellenpress.com).
In recent years, she has been researching ancient theater and ancient Greek epigram. She has created the website Poetry Cafe (facebook.com/poetrycafe.marathi). She teaches at the Moraiti School.
