“Our Town” echoes with Poetry and Music about the Sea | 31 Aug, 12:00 (Part 1) & 02 Sept, 19:00 (part 2)

On Saturday, August 31st, 2024, from 12:00 to 13:00 Athens time, the show “Our Town” will present a small tribute to Poetry and Music about the Sea.

The show will feature selected poems by Elytis, Seferis, Cavafy, Karyotakis, Kavadias, and Empeirikos. Additionally, songs from Mikis Theodorakis’ work that reference the sea will be played.

The second part of the tribute, airing on Monday, September 2nd, from 19:00 to 20:00 Greek time, will include texts by Papantoniou, Karkavitsas, Myrivilis, Ondamianou, and Lacarrière, along with songs by composers such as Hatzidakis, Spanou, Mikroutsikos, Lagios, and others.

The poems in both parts of the tribute will be read by Grigoris Valtinos, Gerasimos Gennatas, Maro Charalampidou, Matina Kostiani and Themis Rodamitis.
