”Our Town” tribute to poet and intellectual Dimitris Armaos | 08.01.2023, 19.00

On Monday, January 8th at 19:00 – 20:00 Athens time, the show “Our Town” with Themis Rodamitis will make a small tribute to Dimitris Armaos.

Nikos Xydakis, journalist, former Minister of Culture and university professor, together with Titika Dimitroulia, literary critic and translator, will speak about the great poet, editor, translator and pioneering intellectual, Dimitris Armaos, highlighting his unique contribution to literature and Greece.

Zoi Bella-Armaou will speak about her common life with Dimitris, the sensitive man, the thinker, the citizen, the teacher loved by his students, but also about his pioneering educational activities and his unique contribution to the publishing house Gutenberg.

His poems will be read by actors Stelios Mainas and Katia Sperelaki, while references will be made to the groups of “living Exarcheia“, which after the passing of Dimitris Armaos are no longer the same.

During the show we will also listen to music by Ptolemaios Armaos.
