Sofia Papazoglou and Christos Tsiamoulis visit “Our Town” | 29 Sept. 2024, 12:00

On Sunday, September 29, from 12:00 to 14:00 Athens time, the show “Our Town” will host Sofia Papazoglou and Christos Tsiamoulis.

The prominent singer, known for her significant contributions to music, and the exceptional musician, performer, and teacher will discuss their long-standing friendship, deep mutual respect, and their three interesting discographic collaborations with Themis Rodamitis.

They will touch upon the influences that shaped them, key milestones in their careers, the role of music schools in education, and the band “Dynames tou Aigaioy,” where their collaboration began.

Christos Tsiamoulis will also speak about the creative musical contributions from the “Eastern” perspective, highlighting notable Greek soloists and folk performers.

Sofia Papazoglou will discuss the commonalities and differences between the prominent female voices of a past era of popular music and the new, intriguing voices emerging today.

The show will engage in conversations about concepts such as “Greek culture as the center of existence,” meritocracy, democracy, and fundamental social values. Songs from their three collaborations will be featured, including their latest work, “Mauve Deili.”
