“The Care Manifesto”: Andreas Chatzidakis on “Imprint” | 05 Dec. 2024, 12:00

On Thursday, December 5, 2024, at 12:00 PM (Athens time), the show “Imprint” with Fuli Zavitsanou welcomes Andreas Chatzidakis, Professor of Marketing and Consumer Culture at Royal Holloway University of London and co-author of the book The Care Manifesto (Ropi Publications). The book envisions a world of collaboration and solidarity as a response to the multifaceted crisis humanity is facing.

Chatzidakis will discuss the core principles and radical changes proposed in The Care Manifesto, starting from the concept of the self as co-existing and interdependent with others and nature (the politics of interdependence). This stands in contrast to the failed model of individualistic consumer “independence,” which ultimately produces unhappiness and leads human life on the planet to a dead end.

Presented by Fuli Zavitsanou
Broadcast: Thursday, December 5, 2024, at 12:00 PM (Athens time)
(Repeat broadcast: Friday, December 6, 2024, at 4:00 AM, Athens time)
